LIFE TRANSITIONS FOR ADULTS & EMERGING ADULTS

Life Transitions:

Life can shift in ways we expect and in ways we never see coming. As a therapist who specializes in life transitions, I'm here to walk with you through the messy, uncertain, and sometimes overwhelming changes you're facing. Whether you're starting something new, letting go of something familiar, or feeling stuck somewhere in between.

Life transitions can shake up everything you thought you knew about yourself, your future, even your relationships. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or questioning what’s next, you’re not alone. Therapy gives you a space to slow down, untangle the noise, and hear your own voice again. You don’t have to have the perfect words or the perfect plan to start. We’ll work together to make sense of what’s shifting and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Emerging Adults & College Students

Whether you’re just starting college, figuring out life after high school, or navigating your journey as a young adult, this time in life is full of transitions. It’s a period where you’re confronted with big questions about who you are, where you're going, and who you want to be. These questions don’t always have clear answers, and sometimes they bring up feelings that are difficult to sit with, hold, or even let go of.

The journey of self-discovery can be overwhelming, especially when you’re figuring out your place in the world. Whether you’re on a traditional college path or taking a different route, young adults experience the pressure to define themselves, and that can lead to confusion, frustration, and sometimes even self-doubt.

As someone who’s been there, I understand the stress and the weight of juggling multiple responsibilities while trying to figure out who you are and what you want. I know the exhaustion of trying to meet everyone’s expectations while losing sight of your own needs. I'm here to support you in understanding who you are and where you’re going.

THERAPY CAN HELP

Sometimes this period of life involves navigating a world that feels uncertain. You might feel the pressure to fit into a mold of success. In this space of freedom and uncertainty, it’s easy to start questioning your choices or feeling lost.

This transitional period brings up a lot of BIG emotions that we don’t always know how to name, let alone manage. These big emotions often lead us to engage in life in ways that we normally wouldn’t. Maybe we skip work, class,  do the bare minimum just to get by, drink more alcohol, experiment with drugs, party more, have more sex, have less sex, isolate, withdraw, or become someone we barely recognize.

This is a challenging time for anyone, and if you're experiencing feelings of shame, guilt, or fear of failure, you're not alone. Many young adults struggle with the pressure of figuring everything out, and it's normal to question your direction.

In therapy, we work on acknowledging these emotions, building self-compassion, and helping you reconnect with your authentic self. Together we will focus on building your confidence and self-esteem through:

  • Emotional Intelligence

  • Building a Strong Sense of Self

  • Assertive Communication

  • Healthy Boundary Setting

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Clarifying Personal Goals and Expectations

  • Managing Stress & Healthy Coping Skills

No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to support you in navigating these transitions, building your true self, and creating a sense of self-worth that’s uniquely yours.

Adults

Life transitions can be disorienting, even the ones you chose. Whether you’re starting over, ending a relationship, changing careers, becoming a parent, or feeling the weight of “what now?", it’s normal to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure in the middle of it all. I work with adults in these in-between moments, helping you make sense of what’s shifting and what it means for you. You don’t have to rush to have it all figured out. This is a space where you get to slow down, feel what you feel, and find your way forward with clarity and care.

You deserve a safe space to share your story, ALL parts of it, with someone who gets it, and without shame or judgment. I’d love to be that person for you.
